About this session

Scaling sequencing data
from lab to analysis.

Every acquired lab and every new test brings its own instruments and its own route for getting data to analysis. LabCorp has grown along both lines, adding PGDx, Invitae, and BioReference's oncology business while launching more than 130 new tests in 2025. As the lab network grows, so does the challenge of deciding where sequencing data should go and how to get it there efficiently.

In this session, Steve Ragan, VP of Enterprise Cloud Platforms at Labcorp, sits down with Hinel Karia of AWS to discuss how a national lab network approaches sequencing data at scale and what other labs can take away from that experience.

Sasha Paegle of AWS and Adam Provost of Qumulo then walk through the technology pattern behind it. Instruments write to Qumulo in the lab, while Qumulo Cloud Data Fabric moves the data into AWS as it's generated. Each dataset can then reach the analysis environment its team needs, whether that's a clinical pipeline or a biopharma research project.

See how this approach connects lab infrastructure, cloud, and analysis without creating another data silo, and explore what LabCorp's experience can mean for other organizations managing growing volumes of sequencing data.
